Columbus Steel is Real!
Back in the Pro-Peloton with the Hi-Tech XCr tubes & Futura forks!

Ever dreamed to see the Pros riding the new-generation steel technology?
The wait is over! This weekend the 2018 Commonwealth Games are taking place down in Australia, featuring a 168Km long scary-fast cycling city-circuit on the Goald Coast in Currumbin city.

More than 120 riders from 30 different nations will dare the limit, but all the eyes and lens will be pointed in the same direction.

The legendary Namibian cyclist Dan Craven will line up on the grid on a totally unprecedented Saffron Columbus XCr bicycle, featuring the very best-of modern TIG manufacturing, including the iconic Columbus stainless tube-set and the new Columbus Futura carbon fork.

The bespoked geometry of this unique road-racer has been entirely designed à-la-carte by its UK builder Matthew Sowter, starting from zero to properly enhance the characteristics of its rider, with a special eye on measurements, angles, tube’s profiles, diameters and butted lengths.

XCr is the only stainless, seamless, bi-phasic hi-tech tubeset of the cycling world. It’s proprietary alloy and composition, together with the 100-years long Columbus cold-drawing expertise, are able to match the performances and properties of the most updated framesets now in the pro-peloton: stiffness, handling and lightness.

Craven is one of the most iconic personalities of the contemporary road-cycling. After a long career in many prestigious equipes, Dan recently represented Namibia during the last Olympic Games in Rio, and with his revolutionary team Israel Cycling Academy will soon compete in the upcoming 101th Giro d’Italia.
