Futura Disc Integrated

The integration of the cable-routing inside bicycle frame and components is one of the most interesting topics currently studied by the design-teams of road-race, gravel and triathlon framesets.
The advantages that can be achieved with such solutions are brilliant in terms of aesthetics, but even more significant for what concerns aerodynamic and performance. At first this trend has been mostly explored among the carbon-fiber frames manufactures, but we now observe a growing demand of this technology also coming from bicycle the hand-made steel, aluminum and titanium framebuilders.
To support these ambitions, Columbus is happy to present a very special evolution of the famous Futura Disc carbon road-fork, specifically designed to host fully integrated internal cable-routing.
The 1-1/2” tapered steere maintains a 1-1/8” cylindrical shape at the top, to perfectly interact with the majority of the internal-routing stems available on the market. Moreover, the contiguity of the internal volumes of its monocoque body allows the front brake-cable to directly reach the disc-caliper at the end of the blade.
