Hyperion is a triple-butted 3Al-2.5V alloy, cold-drawn from seamless Grade 9 tube. The drawing work is the difference: +22% ultimate tensile strength over non-butted titanium, with a range of special shapes and bends drawn from the Columbus archives, new and old.
