omnicrom.

Thirty years after Columbus and the Institute of Welding of Paris first studied what heat does to steel, Omnicrom is the answer: an aerospace-descended CrMo enriched with Vanadium, re-fused for regularity of structure, and drawn into the spines of Spirit, Life and Cento.

“A new era of steel is not a new marketing name. It is a crystal structure you control from the moment the casting solidifies.”

Omnicrom descends from the low-carbon Chromium-Molybdenum alloys of the aircraft industry, enriched with Vanadium and refined under a highly controlled production process. The steel is re-fused to grant regularity of structure — so the tube you braze behaves like the tube we tested.

Unprecedented performance, excellent weldability, and walls drawn down to 0.38 mm in the Spirit set.

“The Paris welding study was about one question — what survives the torch. Omnicrom is the thirty-year answer.”

TIG-weld with OK TIGROD 13.12 (AWS 5.28 ER 80S-G) or braze with Castolin Silver Alloy 38230. With the austenitizing point at 980 °C, the builder has a wide, honest window before the structure begins to change — heat discipline rewarded, never punished.
